turia (Astroturia Technologies Private Limited) ("turia," "we," "us") is a private limited company registered in New Delhi, India. Our platform provides AI-powered and human-contractor-assisted Vedic astrology services, including horoscope readings, predictions, chat consultations, and reports based on planetary movements and birth details. We respect your privacy and hence handle your personal data with the utmost care and confidentiality.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you interact with our website, mobile applications, and any other services that link to this policy ("Services").

This policy is published in accordance with Rule 3(1) of the Information Technology (Intermediaries Guidelines) Rules, 2011 and Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, enacted under the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Personal Identifiable Information

• Creating an account / registration data — your full name, address, telephone number, email address, date of birth, gender, location, photograph, any other items of "sensitive personal data or information" as defined under the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices And Procedures And Sensitive Personal Data Of Information) Rules, 2011, and any other details required on the website during registration. Providing your phone number is mandatory for OTP verification to ensure the security and validity of the registration process. Your first name, last name and date of birth are optional.
• Birth details for astrological services — to generate your astrological chart, readings, and reports, we collect your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. This information is central to the accuracy of the Services and is treated with the same care as other sensitive personal data collected under this Policy. Providing complete and accurate birth details is necessary to receive personalized astrological Services.
• Booking a paid service — the above information, financial information like bank account information, credit card or debit card details, or other payment instrument details through a secure third-party gateway, your IP address, and any other information you provide.
• Log files, IP address, and cookies — the website collects information through cookies stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. It automatically logs generic information about your computer's connection to the internet, i.e. session data. Payment Processing and Financial Data

Payment Gateway

We use Razorpay as our payment gateway to process in-app purchases, including wallet top-ups and report purchases. When you make a payment, Razorpay collects and processes the following information:

• Payment card details (credit/debit card number, CVV, expiry date)
• Bank account information (for net banking/UPI)
• Billing address
• Transaction amount and currency
• Device information for fraud prevention
• IP address

Important: turia does not store your complete payment card details on our servers. Payment information is securely processed and stored by Razorpay in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.

Data Shared with Razorpay

To process payments, we share the following information with Razorpay:

• Your name, email address, and phone number
• User ID and device identifiers
• Purchase amount and transaction details
• Device information for fraud detection

Purpose of Payment Data Collection

• Process in-app purchases and wallet top-ups
• Maintain transaction records and purchase history

Data Retention

• Transaction records are retained for 7 years for tax and regulatory compliance
• Payment method details are stored by Razorpay per their retention policy
• You can delete your account at any time, but transaction records may be retained for legal compliance

• Financial institutions (banks, card networks)

Security Measures

We take reasonable steps to protect your information using physical and electronic security measures to guard against unauthorised access. We collect your personal information on a secured server and payment details are entered on the Payment Gateway's or Bank's page on a secured SSL. Data transferred between the bank's page and payment gateways is encrypted. However, data transmission over the internet cannot be guaranteed as completely secure, so you are advised to take precautions when sharing details on the website, including your login details.

User Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (India, EU, or applicable region), you may have the following rights:

Account Deletion

You can ask us to delete your turia account and the data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.

1. In the app

1. Open turia.
2. Go to Profile → Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Choose a reason (optional) and confirm.

Your account is deleted straight away. There is no waiting period and no way to restore it afterwards.

2. By email

If you no longer have the app installed, email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account", from your registered email address or including your registered phone number in the message. We will confirm your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming it.

What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• Your name, email address, phone number and login credentials.
• Your birth details — date, time and place of birth.
• Your birth chart, dashas, doshas, yogas and every reading derived from them.
• Charts you saved for other people, such as a partner, child or parent.
• Your chat history with astrologers, and anything we remembered from those conversations.
• Your reports and question history.
• Your wallet, your transaction history and your purchase records on turia's systems.
• Your notification preferences and registered devices.
• Any remaining wallet balance — see below.

What is kept, and for how long

• Payment and transaction records — kept for 7 years for tax and regulatory compliance, as required by Indian law. These are held by our payment processor and are not removed by deleting your account.
• The reason you gave for leaving, if you chose to give one, together with non-identifying figures such as how long the account existed and whether it had ever made a purchase. We do not attach your name, email address or phone number to this record, and it holds no link back to your account. If you typed your own free text into the reason box, that text is kept as you wrote it, so please do not include personal details there. Retained indefinitely.
• A one-way fingerprint of any device that received free welcome credit, so the same handset cannot collect the credit again by re-registering. It is a hash — it cannot be reversed into a device identifier and is not linked to you. Retained indefinitely.
• Anything a law or a regulator requires us to keep, for as long as that requirement lasts.

Everything else is removed.

Wallet balance

Deleting your account forfeits any remaining wallet balance. As set out in our Refund Policy, unused wallet balance is not refundable to a bank account and cannot be transferred. If you have a balance you want to use, use it before deleting your account.
