About turia
Life becomes a lot clearer when you understand two things:

And there are some things we cannot fully control - the timing of events, the circumstances we are born into, and the patterns that seem to repeat in our lives.

When you begin to see this distinction clearly, life starts to feel a little less overwhelming.
That is the core idea behind turia.
What Does turia Mean?
The name turia is inspired by the Sanskrit word Turiya.
In Vedantic philosophy, Turiya is known as the fourth state of consciousness - a state of pure awareness beyond waking, dreaming, and deep sleep.
That may sound abstract, but most of us have experienced it, even if only for a few seconds.
A quiet moment during meditation.
A sense of stillness in prayer.
Or those rare moments when the noise in your mind settles and you feel completely present.
Not particularly happy or sad. Just deeply at peace.
Our belief is that this state is always there in the background.
We simply lose touch with it when life becomes noisy and uncertain.
Turiya is not something we need to create.
It is something we move closer to when we start seeing life clearly.
In our traditions, Hanuman ji remembered his strength only when Jambavan reminded him of who he truly was. Arjuna found clarity when Krishna helped him understand his duty and inner strength. Sometimes, we do not need new powers. We simply need the right perspective to remember the ones we already have.
That first step toward awareness is what we call turia.
Why Astrology?
For thousands of years, sages developed a framework to understand the parts of life that are not always obvious to us.
That framework is called Jyotish, or Vedic Astrology.
Jyotish literally means "the science of light."
Its purpose is to help us see more clearly:
- Our strengths and weaknesses
- Patterns that keep repeating in our lives
- The timing of important events
- The lessons life may be trying to teach us
Astrology does not take away your free will.
It helps you understand the larger context of what you are experiencing so you can make better decisions.
At its best, astrology does not create fear.
It creates awareness.

How turia Was Born
turia was started by Ram and Tanya in 2025.
Both of us were working at an AI technology company when we began asking a simple question:
Could we use technology to make authentic astrological guidance available to millions of people?
Ram Dewani

Ram has always been a generalist at heart.
He loves building products and working at the intersection of technology and human understanding.
Coming from an engineering background, he was initially skeptical of astrology.
That changed when an astrologer described his inner patterns and blind spots with surprising accuracy. It felt as though someone had looked inside him.
More importantly, he worked consciously on those patterns and saw how self-awareness could turn weaknesses into strengths.
That experience changed the way he looked at both astrology and free will.
Ram went on to study Vedic Astrology under Mr. Anil Kumar Jain, earned multiple certifications, and conducted more than 100 consultations before helping build turia's AI astrologers.
Tanya Chitranshi

Tanya is one of the most focused engineers you will meet.
She can immerse herself in a problem for hours until every detail works exactly as it should.
She had long believed in astrology's ability to bring clarity during uncertain times.
At an AI conference, she presented the idea of an AI palmist. The response was overwhelming, and the concept received recognition for best booth.
Tanya then built turia's astrology engine from the ground up, benchmarking every calculation against leading software used by professional astrologers.

Supporting both Ram and Tanya is Anil Kumar Jain, who serves as turia's Astrology Advisor.
Mr. Jain brings more than 45 years of experience in Vedic astrology.
He is the author of eight books and has held several respected positions in the field, including:
- Vice President of the Astro Science Research Organization
- Chief Controller of Examination and Senior Faculty
- Academic Counsellor for the MA in Astrology programme at Indira Gandhi National Open University
He has been honoured with the titles Jyotish Martand and Jyotish Shiromani, two of the highest recognitions in the field of astrology.
His work has been featured in major publications and media outlets, including The Times of India, The Economic Times, and NDTV, as well as international media in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia.
Mr. Jain's decades of study, research, and practical experience form an important part of the astrological foundation on which turia's AI is built.
